Rosh Hashanah + Yom Kippur
Rosh Hashanah is a two-day holiday both in Israel and outside of Israel. In 2008 Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) begins at sundown on Monday September 29 and ends at nightfall on Wednesday October 1. The ten days that follow, leading up to Yom Kippur, are known as the Days of Repentance.
In 2008 Yom Kippur (Jewish Day of Atonement) begins at sundown on Wednesday October 8 and ends at nightfall on Thursday October 9. Many people of the Jewish faith will practice such rituals as fasting, refraining from work, and attending Synagogue services.
At The Flower Pot, we offer a special assortment of floral arrangements and plants to grace your dinner table in honor and celebration of these High Holidays.
